Hi, I’m Kristi Constanteles, Professional Organizer and Owner of Calm & Contained located in the heart of Long Island, New York.
I have been organizing and simplifying my life and others since I was a child. Always seeking peace, happiness and beauty around me.
With an extensive background in the magazine and fashion industries in Manhattan, New York, I have integrated so much of what I internally know into these very fast paced, high demand and high emotion industries. My time at Health Magazine and Marc Jacobs helped me tap into my creative abilities, while allowing me bring what I do best to the table… organizing.
I loved being in these industries, but I knew I could reach so many people on such a personal level if I became a Professional Organizer, and that’s exactly what I did! In order to accomplish this I met up with one of the pioneers of the industry, Julie Morgenstern. I worked my way up to become one of Julie’s Senior Organizers and my journey of changing lives began.
I started my business because I wanted to help people. Help in the way of relieving stress and assist in propelling people forward in their lives when they feel the most stuck.
In our ever changing lives events like a move, a new job, an addition to the family and even a loss in the family can create such enormous road blocks in our minds. My gift is to help you navigate your surroundings, so that these road blocks can be lifted and you can move forth with a new energy and ease.
Our first meeting is to understand why and how the clutter collects, then coming up with a blueprint to map out how to tackle the problem head on. It’s not always about going in, cleaning out and cleaning up… clutter will find it’s way back. It’s about being mindful about your habits and respecting the systems that you feel most comfortable with, so that keeping up an organized way of life becomes your new habit.
I create these unique systems based on my client’s needs and style. It’s all about understanding the phase of life that you’re in and adapting to it, without resistance. Our things fall into one of three categories; past, present or future. If most of the items that surround you fall into the past or the future, you’re not living your fullest in the present.
Once you’re at peace and forgiving of yourself you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to let go of what’s holding you back, put in order what’s most important and enjoy the life you want to live.
I look forward to the opportunity of working with you,
